Maria Mart�nez i Vendrell

Mar�a Martinez i Vendrell was born in Barcelona. Having had two children she graduated in Psychology and worked in the Psychiatric Unit in the Barcelona Red Cross Hospital for seventeen years.
It is probable that her need to invent and tell stories to learn about oneself and others, stems from this experience.

In 1983, together with Carme Sol�, she won the Apelles Mestres prize for Yo las quer�a. With Destino she published a collection �Ahora hablamos de�� together with Roser Capdevila, with twelve titles in Castilian and Catalan.

At present she is still working as a Clinical Psychologist.
