Cristina M�ller

Cristina M�ller-Karger Pereda, Venezuelan, daughter of immigrants, was born in Caracas on the 7th of June of 1974. For many years she has dedicated herself exclusively to illustrating children�s literature and it was Ediciones Ekar� who published her first book, Claudia y Daniel, written by Blanca Strepponi.

Since then a dozen titles have been published in Venezuela and Spain which have been singled out for prizes such as Desde mi ventana by Ana Tortosa, Anaya 2006, which received an illustration�s mention in Los Mejores Libros del Banco del Libro 2007; Nilo y Zanz�bar, by Javier Sobrino, published by Edelvives in 2007, one of the prize-winning books in the �Certamen Internacional de �lbum ilustrado de la Biblioteca Insular Cabildo de Gran Canaria�.

Also noteworthy are Palabras al viento, by Pedro Okura (La Barca de la Luna ediciones, 2008) and La noche es un tren, (Anaya, 2008), with poems by Alejandro Sandoval �vila.

At present she is a member of Banco del Libro (Venezuela).
