Anne Bozellec was born in Rochefort-sur-Mer, France, in 1943. She illustrated several books for Nathan and Sudel before spending 10 years of her life in Colombia. After her return from the Latin American country she participated with Christian Bruel in the editorial adventure of founding La sourire qui mord, illustrating the first titles of this imprint: Histoire de Julie qui avait une ombre de garcon (The Story of Julie, who had the Shadow of Boy) in 1976; Qui pleure? (Who is crying?) in 1977; Lison et l�eau dormante (Lison and the still water) in 1978. She illustrated 13 books from this publishing house, along with many others published by prestigious imprints such as Gallimard, Hachette, Nathan, Didier, Rageot and Casterman.
